Name: Harry Lennix

Harry Lennix, best known as Dr. Greg Fisher on NBC's "ER," as a Goodman Theatre Artistic Associate he also has a full stage schedule. He's appeared in a number of Goodman productions, including the role of Levee in Ma Rainey's Black Bottom (which earned him a Joseph Jefferson Citation), and in The Government Inspector, A Christmas Carol, and The Meeting (for which he received the first annual OLLIE Award for his performance as Malcolm X). He also directed their 1996 Studio production of Unjustifiable Acts. His performance in Lifeline Theatre's 1989 Caught in the Act won him another Jeff. Lennix directed Robert Townsend's stage version of The Five Heartbeats (which received 3 NAACP theater awards), The Glass Menagerie at Steppenwolf, Julius Caesar at Black Ensemble Chicago, and at a number of other venues across the country. His film credits include Bob Roberts, The Five Heartbeats, Comfortably Numb, The Package, Clockers (1995), Spike Lee's Get on the Bus (1996), Chicago Cab (1998) and Titus (1999).
