The Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions are actually one big movie cut in half
(like Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is cut in three pieces). The Matrix Revolutions
came out on November 7 2003, just six months after The Matrix Reloaded.
The information below was written before Revolutions came out.

Characters
Since production on The Matrix 2 & 3 has taken place at the same time, it's
likely that we'll get the same cast of characters in the third movie. Most of
the actors have already signed for the project. Of course, some twists in the
plot or storyline may lead to the disapearance or reapearance of characters
from the previous films or may even introduce new characters. (although new
characters are not very likely since it's the last part of the trilogy, but
hey, you'll never know what the Wachowski brothers have in mind). We know that
certain characters (like Zee, played by Nona Gaye) will appear in Reloaded but
will have a more dominant role in Revolutions.

Storyline
There are some things known about the plot, but again, as I mentioned in the
Reloaded section, you'll have to visit other sites for that type of information.
The only I'll mention is that Revolutions will take place mostly in 'the real
world' instead of the inside-the-matrix setting of Reloaded. You definitely
want to see Revolutions right away after you've seen the cliffhanger of Reloaded,
according to producer Joel Silver, so that explains the six-month gap between
the two movies.

Production
Production has taken place during the production of The Matrix Reloaded and
will continue until its release date in November 2003.
